Recognising and promoting Civic Engagement in the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences
Thursday, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Jan 09th 2020

Dr Maureen Kelly, Vice Dean for Civic Engagement, in the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, will share experiences and insights from the process of building an inter-stakeholder Civic Engagement Committee. She will describe the value and challenges of understanding multiple perspectives and meeting diverse agendas. Examples of specific work packages, commissioned stakeholder research and an all college staff engagement process, carried out by the Civic Engagement committee, will be outlined.  This event will be of interest to:

• Staff of Higher Education

• Researchers and Academics

• Practitioners

• Community or Non-profit Organisations

• Social Enterprises

• General Public

• Students
